Linnea Head is a Cincinnati based visual artist. She has been drawing and painting since the age of 4. After a four-year hiatus, she rediscovered painting in her sophomore summer in small town, Ovando, Montana. The big sky and the wildness of the native animals helped formulate her distinctive style of exaggerated and robust color and unique texture. She completed her college degree in philosophy at Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio) where she wrote her senior thesis on aesthetic philosophy: specifically, a Kantian defining of what art is. She has shown her work at the Malton Gallery and it has been featured on the cover of Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden publications. Her goals as an artist are to utilize her work to aid in various conservation efforts both local and global. Her studio is located at the Brazee Street Studios in Oakley, Ohio.
You can see her artwork every second Thursday of the month April- December at Brazee Street Studios from 6-8pm, or by appointment.
Has shown her "Fiona in Color Series" at the Malton Gallery, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Linnea's "Fiona" was displayed on the cover of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens' Donor magazine in 2017.
